Kits and saving (insight needed)

Hey guys ,

First off, I’m new here. Greetings to you all, great forum you got here .

I’m pretty new to the A4 and i’ve been having some issues with saving kits .
Here are my usual steps :

I load up a new blank kit
I design my sounds for each track (arps , tweaks , levels , etc)
Then save the kit

My issue is that when I load an older kit , all of the tweaks and settings I’ve made in the new kit seem to apply to the older one that I have just loaded.
Levels change , arps show up on tracks that never had them and so on.

Also the arp never clears …it’s always on even when I load a new blank kit .

Are there steps I’m missing in my saving process?
Any info is greatly appreciated . I just hope i’m making sense here .

if you are new to elektron gear, the relationship between kits/sounds/patterns…etc etc…can be a little confusing

the manual shows how they relate to each other but to just answer the question…

patterns and kits are separate…i.e. you can create a pattern, arp, etc…then load a kit…load a different kit, load a different kit and it will continue to use the pattern

the part that may throw you a bit is that patterns remember what kit they were using so if you change to a pattern, it will pull the kit it was using

if you want to lock things in, hold yes and hit pattern and hit kit and it will save both

Hey guys, First time posting. First time Elektron user.
Im posting under this thread cause its the only one that makes sense.

I am having issues with saving…

I did the to lock things in, hold yes and hit pattern and hit kit and it will save both.

But when I switch to another pattern it uses the sounds that I was just working with…

I just want to save certain sounds to individual patterns/bank and have it recall the sounds I saved for that individual pattern/bank.

Like if I want bank A pattern 1 To have different sounds than bank B pattern 2.
and I can go between the 2 and the sounds are the ones I saved for those patterns.

But I cant seem to figure this out…
I am sure its something simple :-/

Patterns are linked to kits, so save the new pattern with a new kit and you’re good to go!
