Kit not saving with Pattern

I suspect I’m doing something stupid but I’m finding that the kit I load to a pattern isn’t staying with it.

An example:

Load pattern AD1

Load kit ‘example 1’

Save pattern

Load pattern AD2

Load kit ‘bad example 1’

Save pattern

Load kit AD1…

Here I was expecting to find kit ‘example 1’ as I thought that kits were saved under the pattern but it’s not the case, I still have ‘bad example 1’ loaded. The display shows that AD1 is loaded.

I’m not programming any trigs as I’m slaving A4 to another harware seq.

Apologies if it’s glaringly obvious what I’m doing wrong.

This is it. If you don’t assign a trig of some sort, the elektrons consider it still a blank pattern thus the kit you loaded while in the pattern won’t be saved to it. Looks like you’ll just need to place a single triggless lock and you’ll be set.

Ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… That’s why the Tabla Rasa blank pattern Sysex always has a empty trigger on the first step. Nice.
