its really frustrating its happening to me know the second time in one day and happened several times before and its unpredictable and destroys whole kits!
i finish a pattern and a kit, i save it and switch to a new pattern and before i start with the new kit ofcourse i choose a new kit to edit i start tweeking the sounnds and pattern of the next kit i save it turn the device off and later back on finish the second kit and save it.
After finishing the second pattern/kit i go back to the previous pattern/kit and realise that the AR set the KIT sounds to default sounds and overwrite it when i saved the project after finishing the second kit. This is horrible! All the sounds of the previous kit are gone and i dont even have a chance to realise this because i m not even using that kit that gets reset to default.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem? It messed up a lot of kits now and my liveset is not performable anymore!
Hi, welcome you have to describe a little more precise how/when you save the kit, the pattern, the sounds and how / what you reload. I am not aware of such a bug and it may be user error/ misunderstanding the complex kit pattern project structure.
Maybe you can try (in a new project) to alter a kit, then save and reload it and see if it still happens?
The problem is expectations … it’s up to you to save the kits explicitly, the AR has one working Kit buffer iirc. This is well discussed as a rights of passage thing, but you have to understand the workflow and architecture. Saving a project is not likely what you expect either, you need to save kits yourself.
Mine takes a long time to update all the sounds in a kit, especially the samples. For example, when I load a new project, it plays the new project with the previous project’s sounds/kit. It takes around 20-40 seconds (depends on the samples etc.). There is also a little loading animation.
Have you ruled that out?
Your problem sounds more like a software or operating problem to me and might be known to other users as well (imho).
