Keys as a midi controller

Apologize if this had been discussed but interested in knowing if keys makes a good midi controller?

Plan on buying to be my master keyboard…

I am using mine as a master keyboard at the moment and have found it to work very well. There is a dedicated button to turn the synth to midi controller mode, after which all encoders can easily be mapped as midi controls. Also the keys are of high quality and feel good to play.

Of course you could probably get a midi keyboard for quite a bit cheaper if that is all you need.

I was a little disappointed to find out that the arpeggiator is not available for external midi gear. Just plain notes and cc. I hope it will come in a future update

thanks for the response… I definitely wanted the a4, its not just a midi controller for me.

read through the manual quickly, maybe I missed this, but can anyone confirm what after ouch can be assigned to internally? can you assign it to any parameter or are the options limited?
