So many ways to do things. The spatializer tricks are beyond where I want to go right now, but good to know about.

I didn’t like the 1 sample per octave thing because I wasn’t liking the pitch shifting artifacts I was ending up with. I’m sure the artifacts are cool in some cases, but for what I was doing at the time, not so much.

I thought of some interesting variations on your technique for filling the extra 4 slices (12 chromatic notes, then something else). Instead of repeating 4 of the notes in those 12, you could put anything in there (altered versions of the notes, notes from alternate tunings, etc).

And I just reread your post just now and caught the 64 notes in 1 sample idea. That is pretty cool. Kind of like a wavetable scan sort of idea. This thread is giving me lots of ideas. :joy:
