Keyboard to Analog Rytm?

Friends,

Anyone has any experience using a keyboard to Analog Rytm, to play its samples chromatically from said keyboard?

Does it work? Does it play nice? And so on and so forth.

Yes, it works well!
You can run the sequencer in live record mode and the Rytm will capture your performance from the keyboard, just like it would from its own pads or buttons. Then you can quantize the track accordingly in the Trig settings menu.

How does the USB Midi In work?
Can I use my MicroBrute USB Midi Out and play the Analog Rytm like that?
I know MicroBrute can be used as a master keyboard to a DAW from its USB Midi output, but what happens when you try to do this from one hardware USB unit to another?

USB-B ----> USB-B not possible

Until the very end, I hoped this was not true.

Can you use a USB to Midi adapter?

Normally you could just use a regular MIDI cord from MIDI out of Microbrute, but I just saw it doesn’t have a dedicated MIDI out port. Too bad. A keyboard without a dedicated MIDI out port? Hmm… seems like USB to MIDI adapter should be a workable option.

Yes, that should do it. That’s one extra box and one extra cord, though, which I was hoping to avoid.

But the MicroBrute’s small size and great sound will compensate for this small nuisance.

Apparently, micro key keyboards with proper midi out don’t exist. According to my local music store, a lot of people are asking for this. But no one’s making them.
