So here’s my setup: the A4 is connected to my DAW via Overbridge, and I have the CV A/B over a insert cable to my Slim Phatty’s Filter and Volume CV inputs. My DAW is generating the MIDI notes for a sequence, and I simply want to use the A4 as a modulation source for the Phatty.
I’m not getting any results with this. I have not changed anything in the CV config, and I had a look in there, and it would seem that I need to change something in there to allow the Phatty to somehow receive some kind of values from the A4’s envelopes and/or LFO to modulate the filter and volume on the Phatty.
How would you guys set the CV config up to do this?
The manual (http://eu.elektron.se/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/analog-four_manual_OS1.21-web.pdf) covers cv setups on pages 65&66, and cv parameters in appendix c. It’s definitely a good reference.
You’ll most likely want to set the cv outputs to ‘value lin’ or perhaps volts/octave for the filter if you want to play its resonance with the keyboard. Then you simply assign the cv value lin knobs of those cv channels (A, B, C, or D) to the lfos and envelopes on the cv track. In order to trigger the envelopes you’ll need to place some trigs, of course. Because we’re in elektron world, you can also parameter lock things as well.
