these tennyson chord samples have been my saving grace the past few days, keeps the song starting process way easier to get into. sampled some sounds off the op-xy and made this on the ep133.

A trick someone* posted in the DNII Tips thread to achieve the effect of a random arp was so satisfying I switched the machine back on, and created this:

Day 22:
Some quick chops. Fasted one yet, start to finish in less than hour and probably 20 minutes of that was listening through records to grab sounds from

battling through more chronic exhaustion, so I’m sorry I could barely manage to get two sentences out

nice acid sound! And the supporting tonal sounds are great ear candy! I let this one loop for a while

lovely foggy pads! And the pinging sounds are like lights popping through and dissolving in the dense air. You start out all alone in a dark and unfamiliar place, but you end up bathed in light and comfort

great shredding! Loved those super fast runs too. Both technical, but also just fun! And the ending to this piece is great too

beautiful first track! Seems like you and the Digitakt might make for great friends

love that haunting sound of the high wind like instrument! It’s somewhere between digital and acoustic, and I appreciate the articulations that break up the sound as it’s being sustained

the high frequency tones are quite nice in this! They’re like altostratus clouds wisping over the top of everything else

love the sounds and the energy in this one! Great mix of synths and metal sensibilities. Some nice moments where the noise feels like a delicate web enrobing the piece

very groovy and I love the minimal aesthetic! And it’s not a bad mix, per se, just a drum focused one!

fun jam! Love how uplifting the melody is. A very light and joyous vibe to this piece; a lovely celebration of the OP-Z

great energy! And I love the guitar solo at the end! It’s not about being perfect, it’s about having fun, and this whole piece is very fun!

like entering the eye of the storm! Chaos and emergent properties try to overwhelm you before you reach the center

nice explorations! There are times when the arp gets so twinkly and shiny, and others where it is dull and matted. A beautiful contrast in qualities

I love the small ratcheted moments that sometimes occur in this arp! And the sound is nice and liquid

nice vowely sounds on the lead! And there are some fun bird chirping sounds going on as well

the chorus melody is lovely! And the vocoded vocals work really well with your abstract soundscapes

like a springtime snow! A fresh patch of cold against the new greenery

love the broken up bits of speech! Like a scene in a movie where the main character realizes they have to break out of an insane asylum

really pretty! Especially loved when everything got more noisy and the oscillators really started to scream

great chill vibes! And I like how everything winds down at the end

love that blocky lead sound! It has a wonderfully physical characteristic to it, like a beam or a marimba

wonderfully upbeat! And I like those high droning sounds a lot; they remind me of bagpipes (in a good way!)

those cascading arpeggios are gorgeous! Like wandering into a deeper than expected waterfall cave

lovely lowkey vibes! And I really like that noise swell you use in the outro

so gritty! The shuffle in the drums, especially once you fully fade that background perc in, is dangerously funky

I love the little bit of noise in the pad sound! It makes everything feel so delicate, especially when you use the punch in effects

feels like you made a whole mix in this piece! Great energy throughout, and the transitions were really nice

Jam 23/23.

Analog Four on synthy stuff; Octatrack on the drummy stuff.

Hmm. Sounds like a few beats from the beginning weren’t included in the bounce. Ah well…

Twentythree. Got some fresh TRS to RCA cables so the Particle is back on the sends to add some bubbly texture to the TB-3

And thank you @tovia ! Acid indeed :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Hello, everyone. I’m running late, as January was busy as usual. But now it’s time for another Jamuary jam :sparkles:
