Jack/ Cable qualities

Hi people.

I wonder if you guys experienced with different cable quality and can reveal a difference in the signal clarity ?
Does a 2 dollar cable TS or TRS jack will be really different from a 35dol cable ?

Thank you

No expert on the sound quality, but since you mention $2 cables, I will say I’ve heard plenty of stories of people damaging gear with cheapo ones. If I just want something cheap I’ll at least buy from reputable stores (Thomann etc) who sell thousands and have an active interest in not harming your gear. As opposed to random sellers on eBay, Amazon etc.

Cordial are a brand that came up a lot for a good price / quality ratio when I was researching this in the past. Happy with mine - Seem really solid.

I think usually the point of good cables is that they last and are “not bad”. I wouldn’t expect a noticeable improvement unless you were previously running your signals through a potato. (https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/everything-else/236248-fancy-interconnects-potato-mud.html)

Some people prefer a dense, starchy sound.
