Issues with Digitakt and Moog subsequent 37

I want to run the Moog subsequent 37 through the Digitakt, so far I have one project where the midi keys and the audio in left works fine.

When I create a new project and set the midi settings the same as the project that’s working, I get no sound but the Moog light flashes it’s receiving the midi requests.

Confiq is
Midi Digitakt out Moog In
Audio cable from moog out to Digitakt In

It works only on one project only, and I’ve spent many hours trying to get it work with another project. The settings as far as can tell are the same as the working project.

Thanks

Starting with basics, are you sending the right MIDI channel to the Moog? Have you enabled Monitoring for the audio input on the Digitakt?

The strange part it works fine in one project but not for any others so I’m pretty sure it’s not midi issues.

Could you verify how to check the monitor settings? I didn’t see it in the project settings.

Thanks

I’m not able to check here now, but I believe it’s in the Sampling menu, press the Sample button and it should be there.

Also, you have to enable and set the MIDI channel for the MIDI track for each project (you may save a template project to use as a starting point). So it could still differ on the new project.

We tried that, didn’t work.

Next basic question is, are OSC and main volumes up on the Moog? Not trying to be a smartass because sometimes, it happens…

Maybe just to make sure there’s actually sound out of the Moog, you could plug headphones in it and hear?

The volume is turned up and the OSC is turned up also Oscillator Sync

The moog plays when plugged into a amp.

OK, then no idea… I can only imagine a mismatch in the MIDI channel. If the Moog (I have a Sub37) receives any channel, the red light blinks, but it plays only for the channel it is set on, 1 by default I believe.

Good luck!

To work around the problem you may duplicate the project where it works and delete all tracks/sequences but the one for the Moog…

The project that plays is set to channel 1, but changing the channel on other projects doesn’t fix the issue.

The red light on the moog flashes for all projects including the one that actually we can hear.

Hi, it was the direct _> sampling that fixed the issue, mon option didn’t show up in the screen until I touched the last button in the row.

Thanks
