Oh i don’t expect to cover more than the basics. This feels like a machine that can grow with your skills, something i felt with the Digitone, but not the Digitakt or Model:Samples
absolutely
there are a lot of hidden spots- the gain staging is what needs to be understood in this machine and the reason why a lot of people sells it - you need to nailed it down.
Yes, I was very surprised that there wasn’t a mixer screen
Just selling off my beloved mpc so I can have the same setup . Got the A4mkii 2 weeks ago as my first elektron box and it’s been loads of fun
Semi-random question:
Did Elektron ever make a custom case or bag for the Analog Keys?
I’d like to know that too, or even where to get a Decksaver for the AK…
Decksaver here: https://www.decksaver.com/product/analog-keys-cover/
or via Thomann:
@DonovanDwyer – I’ve been meaning to ask you where you sourced the awesome custom knobs from. I love how that looks!
Same here
Yes, a bag for on your back
Thanks!

Official Analog Keys Gig Bag EG-1 is the one ![]()
The encoder knobs were from AliExpress but can’t seem to find the exact ones… the large knob was from here:

I ordered a new Decksaver for my AK a few days ago through Amazon UK for the next day delivery, but you can still get them from Decksavers’ own website. It’s a fantastic thing, and the tolerances are perfect. I was pretty sceptical about them considering it was £56 for a bit of plastic, but it has zero movement when on and perfectly protects the keys when I bash my chair into the stand like a moron.
so how’s the a4 treating peep these days
???
loving mine, still surprised by it - anybody got any idea on how to get it make that moog/vermona ‘knocking’ sound?
What sound is that? Can you share an example?
i’ll find one - can’t find it - must be one of those ‘sounds in my head’
will look into a4 again
