Isn't the Analog Four the most incredible and deep instrument from Elektron so far?

:pinched_fingers:
Everything is melting.

Nothing fancy, just jamming today,

Bonustip: Running the A4 through a little saturation can really do wonders.

Should use the FM capabilities more, it’s wicked.

And the velocity mod section. That is the most overlooked thing about the A4 imo.
That combined with some lfo action is amazing.

Im taking it all in right now, so i appreciate this! I had sold the rytm and ot a couple years ago mostly just trying to keep a somewhat compact setup.

But the AK has seemed to be such an extraordinary deal to cover the elektron flow and sounds AND my setups always require a midi keyboard, which it also excels at. So i bought one maybe a year ago and figured id dive in at some point.

Then all of sudden recently i was positive i needed a new analog synth……turns out NO i do not after digging in here. I think i was believing the comments that suggest the mki bass was missing something. Reading the a4 bass tips thread and watching many sound design videos, im loving the thick bass im getting now that ive learned way more. Thx @elektronauts !!!

Don’t sleep on AM by making use of the LFOs. Gives you a lot more fine grained control.

Elaborate a bit please.

Simple thing for a start: Set your OSC level or Amp volume to 0 and modulate the same with an LFO at or close to audio rate. Try different LFO shapes, of course.

Thanks :pray:t2:
It will be a track for our band’s next album so I had to remove it from here.

Ha! I downloaded a copy (for educational purposes, of course.) Will be worth a fortune someday for sure.

Digitone 2 and Analog 4 on a melancholic IDM-jam building the first track for my next album.

Digitone 2 used for pads (Swarmer machines) plus Tricera Chorus and reverb. The other tracks are used for drums and percussion.

Here Outbox 8 really shines, as you now can use the DN as synth, drum machine and external sequencer - and still go for hardware recordings.

Analog 4:
T1: Lead
T2: Bass
T3: Additional Pad
T4: Pluck

Will use the DN2 / A4 combo definitely more frequently.

Has anyone here tried to make the A4 sound like a church organ?
I think I’ll give it a shot as I love how those ultra low rumbling notes sound.
If yo have done that please share a clip.

The AK contains bass improvements over the mk1. Whether they’re exactly the same as the improvements credited to the mk2 is perhaps unsettled.

that thought crossed my mind as well since my Analog 4 was my first Elektron gear and with all the newer gear, I hardly use it anymore.
