Isn't the Analog Four the most incredible and deep instrument from Elektron so far?

No, but I’m running my A4mk1 through my DN2 making liberal Use of the Compressor and Master Overdrive.

So you are saying I have to buy an Analog Keys and fill the blank spot on the right hand side with a Torso S4?

Not sure if it’s relevant for you but I’ve done that with the OG DN a while ago further up this thread. Actually it still sounds quite nice if you keep an eye on resonances.

Oh nice, that’s sounded great, and different to straight forward DN tones.

A4 is an incredible filterbank, too!

Remembered another experiment from some time ago, where I filtered the drums from one track internally with a second track.

iam trying to add the victor module as a standalone joystick to the A4mk2 and would like to ask if someone knows if it’s possible to power the module via usbc (on the frontpanel)?

could use the cv/gate/mod outputs to trigger this and have this wavetable thing within the A4 + JOYSTICK :space_invader:

Probably not as the consumption listed for the module is 110 mA (+12 V) / 7 mA (-12 V) whereas USB is almost always 5V and there doesn’t seem to be any mention of powering it that way in the manual. You could of course get a 4MS pod or similar to power the Victor and perhaps a few other modules too.

from time to time it’s great to sneak into the modern elektrons to take a chance on the features but the A4 is such a beautiful piece of gear with so many things, bipolar keytrack per filter, exclusive overdrive parameter on the reverb ^^, a ton of shadow lfos and all the fine tuned analog elements. 🪏 QOL update and we’re good :relieved:

Dreamy Dub.Techno take on the Roland TR-808 (my favorite Kick of all times), the Roland RE-201 Space Echo and the Analog 4.

Additional field recordings done on Zoom H1e (also sounds much better than expected).

Live recorded in one take on 1010 BlueBox.
Sorry - got lost in dubchord filtering / space-echoing - so the track got much longer than I initially intended.

This is an A4?? Awesome!

Thank you.
It is, indeed! Maybe I did very little low cut around 30Hz and a tiny amount of compression afterwards. I’m always recording from main outs and usually I’m too lazy for more processing.

Finally had some time to sit down with my new aquisition. I really like the A4 (MkII)! I admit I’m far from knowing what I’m doing and in control, but I had a great time exploring sounds just tweaking stuff. Even managed to make a nice warm pad. I tend to gyrate towards those kind of sounds with analog synths, but Oora makes some of what I consider his signature blips on it, so it’s pretty broad when it comes to it’s capabilities. No regrets about getting this one!

I happen to have the Heat +FX too, so once I get a basic hang of the A4 I’ll connect them up and see what happens when applying some nice effects!

Anyone else find individual outs and panning hard left to get a mono signal much better for drum duties? Experimenting with it tonight but resenting bringing the laptop in for fx.

The struggle is real :joy:

how does the A4 parts sounds without the torso s4? Would be great for comparison

Thanks! It helps lots understanding what happens before and after. Amazing, really appreciate it

Pair of headphones and sound design layering the four tracks is like being sucked into a wormhole :heart::heart:
