Is there any use for overbridge if I don't have a DAW?

Would love to edit patches/sequences etc and manage my sound pool on a computer… I love working with the machine but can’t handle the tiny screen for too long. Am I going to have to buy a daw to reap the benefits of overbridge or is there a stand alone way to use it?

Don’t care about recording seperate stems etc… use it purely as a jam machine. Any help would be lovely, thanks

I’ve never used OB but apparently for AK it’s a good way to setup performance macros controls etc. Extended UI is apparently a workflow improvement over hardware for stuff like that. I keep meaning to check it out…

If it’s just for UI stuff should be able to run it in a free version of something without feeling limited. In daw demo versions or LE. Dunno if ableton or bitwig have those? Maybe reaper if not?

Oh i didn’t even consider reaper… would i still be to run the audio straight from the a4 and just adjust parameters via computer?? I love the would make programming lfos and just general organisation of sounds so much easier

And yeah… performance macros! Probably my favourite aspect of the A4 but very time consuming.

Yup, you can still just use the physical outputs.

vPlayer looks like what you need, I haven’t tried it yet, but looks nice and simple and can run 2x VST/AU plugins: http://www.digitalbrain-instruments.com/freebies

An alternative could be a Live Intro License. Its included in nearly everything, today… perhaps you know someone who could give it to you?

Sorry, I meant Ableton Live Lite.
Btw: its included if you buy an Electron Box

ok so vplayer dosent work… it opens other vsts but not overbridge. anyone tried this before?

This 'll do you.
