so ive been having fun jamming out with the rytm and the a4 synced on direct jump and it would be cool if i could record the pattern changes into the song mode to then be able to crate/edit into arrangements within the song mode in that way…anything like that possbile? or maybe i should use overbridge / bitwig for something like that?
Setting up patterns to play in a specific order is what song mode does.
In the manual, the info on Song Mode starts on page 53.

i realize i could go in and write in line by line what i want, im wondering if there is a way to kind of “jam” the pattern changes unquantized into the song mode arranger thing, i dont want to go into the song editor and select the patterns and their play lengths 1 by 1, id like to record the performance live into the song mode arranger as i change the patterns by hand…does that make sense?
no the only way to do it is by editing the song changes manually. I suppose you could play it the way you are now, record that into a DAW, and then play that back into the machines.
