Update: I didn’t buy any cameras in Japan but have visited many camera shops. Zero nicotine stank.
Also looked at some second hand Brikin bags and other crazy stuff and again zero nicotine smell. Second hand stuff in Japan is very very good, in part because most stores don’t accept returns.
