Hello, im trying to find an effective way to use my Pulsar 23 in my live setup, in which my Octatrack is the master clock. The main caveat is that the Pulsar 23, while syncing perfectly well to midi clock, does not receive midi start/stop messages… this is problematic for a multitude of reasons.
Since the Pulsar 23 accepts 8 PPQN analog clock signals for sync, im thinking of getting a Doepfer MSY2 to translate my octatrack’s midi clock to such an analog clock signal. According to the manual, this should be possible using the dip switches.
Can anyone who owns a Doepfer MSY2 comment on the feasibility of this setup?
