Is recorder input level indicative of main output headroom?

When we open the sampling/recorder view we can see the input level from the main out source. I realize the displayed level is relative to the recorder’s AD converter dynamic range but does this give us any information about the headroom on the analog main outputs?

The input level display is a handy tool to help evening out output levels between kits. Wondering how it relates to the analog out level. I also realize it still passes through the main out volume control knob after this stage, but I leave that one in one general position for all my kits.
