So I was finally able to pick up my first modern Elektron unit, the Analog Heat+Fx. I had read about how I would be able to use Overbridge to automate parameters in my DAW as well as transfer audio. I tried enabling it using the standalone app on my desktop and honestly it feels like a complete trainwreck. Plenty of crackles no matter the audio buffer size and the right channel isn’t coming through half the time. Are people actually able to use this? Honestly I don’t care about the audio part, I just wanted to automate parameters. I’m thinking I may be better off avoiding it completely as it seems like a mess.

My specs:
Windows 10
Intel i7-8700K @ 3.7Ghz
16GB Ram
RME Raydat
Ableton Live

Thanks.

Are you on the latest OS of AH and OB?

Have you tried to drag the AH plugin on an Audio Track in Ableton Live?

Hi Tchu, thanks for responding.

I am on the latest version of AH (1.0) and OB (I just downloaded the most recent). I actually had not yet tried it in Ableton as I figured starting with the standalone app would be eliminating variables. I just tried it in Live and the behavior is much better (no pops/clicks and things seem to be working). I’ll explore using it in Live and see if it works for me. I have a complex Expert Sleepers MIDI sync set up and I’m not sure everything is lining up… time to play with track delays etc.

Thanks again.
