i’m not really a keys player, i only play in two keys…Db Minor (C Major) and Eb Minor (B major)
i have a few synths that allow me to transpose the entire keyboard so i can play one of the keys i know, but the synth transposes everything up or down a fixed number of semi-tones, so that in fact i play in a different key.
i understand that there is some sort of fixed scale function on the AK/A4 where all notes are moved so that they are always in a certain scale, but i’m not a huge fan of this…as there are notes in the chords that align with the Db Minor key (for example) that are not in the ‘scale’ of Db Minor.
so…is there a function that will allow me to shift the input of the entire keyboard range up or down a fixed amount of semi-tones…on input?
close to ordering my AK…getting excited
The tuning of your oscillators should basically be the same as transposing your keyboard. (-1 semitone on the oscillator equals +1 semitone on the keyboard… I think thats right)

Check out page 41 of the manual.
Db minor = C major?
Ha!..i committed an error. Whatever the relative minor/major is…chortle amongst yourselves.
Thanks for the pointer to the correct page of the manual…scanned through a few times but missed that exact part. Works like the Juno transpose huh?..lovely stuff.

I can’t get this to work. The keyboard still starts and ends with C.
