Is a Rytm MK3 likely to happen the next 12 months?
🤷
Nobody knows.
Looking at their track record, an mkiii of anything seems highly unlikely.
Just buy used and you won’t lose much reselling. Forget about what might be and use what’s there now, they’re just tools.
An analog drum machine? Doubtful. It’s still one of the best on the market; they have no reason to.
FOMO is strong, use the Force Luke.
There haven’t been many firmware updates lately as far as I know? That makes me wonder why they should make an MK3 as the MK 2 still has so much to offer
I’d say that if you can’t get the results you want with the mk2, it’s time to stop blaming the machine. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, more features does not equal better!! These are highly, highly capable machines, even the mk1, which I still use daily.
Maybe
Unlikely. Analogue drum synths and percussion sampling haven’t changed much in the last few years, so it’s hard to imagine a new drum machine, especially so close to the Syntakt’s release. If any flagship boxes will get the MKIII treatment first, it’s probably the OT.
Have they ever made an MK3 version of something ? Even with the 5 versions of the MD, it was always MK2.
Analog Heat +FX is the third iteration, but not called Mk3.
Exactly.
I wouldn’t expect another AR. At this point, Elektron is due for some thing NEW.
Model was the last new hardware albeit (most likely) borrowing from the existing code base.
Just like Valve, Elektron can only count to 2
Did you not buy your cables?
There’s no need for an AR mk3… they’ve covered all the bases of an Elektron analog drum machine with the mk1 and mk2.
Maybe they can follow their own pattern and bring out an Analog Kit… full on electric drum kit with the AR engine at its heart.
Thanks to all, i guess that’s a no
I bet that we see next in lineup a new digi-size box. But I have no idea what it could be.
