It‘s my first post here.
I‘ve already owned the dark trinity and played and loved it alot. So i‘m not an completly newbie with elektron gear.
I sold most of my gear and use an iPad Pro as my brain with an iconnectaudio Interface and some analog synths ( deepmind 12, Moog Little phatty…)
My question:
I wanna buy the Digitakt to use it with my iPad and do some chilled sofa jams and productions.
Is it possible to stepsequence chords ( i know its limited up to 4 notes like the octatrack ) via the virtual keyboard of the apps to a step of the digitakt? ( midiout channel of the app = autochannel of the digitakt)
How tight is clock and the stability of the ipad, if u want to sequence e.g. 3 or 4 Apps simultan.¿

I know that the audio tracks cant play poly notes or chords.
my plan ist to connect my ipad via usb and cck to the digitakt.
I wanna route e.g. MOOG modell 15 to the first midi channel of the digitakt. ( i will turn sample monitoring on, when i jam on my sofa… at my musicdesk i will route the audio to my iconnect audio and then back to the ipad to Aum or Audiobus to add some effects etc).
I wanna to play on my sofa without an additional external midi key.
I hated it to programm the chords of the midi tracks on the octa via the knobs…
So i wanna use the virtual midikey of the moog model app as an external keyboard to sequence chords from the moog app to digitakt.
My plan is to Set digitakt to recieve notes via midi and to set the moog apps midi out to channel 14 ( the digitakt auto channel).
My plan is to activate midi track one on the digitakt which is connencted to my moog app. I wanna freely record and step sequence notes and chords via the app and the virtual midikeyboard to the digitakt without using my additional 61 midi keyb., when i’m jammin on my sofa or when i’m on tour.
Your app needs to support Midi Out, set it to the channel that the Midi Track on DT is listening for incoming midi and there you go.
I solved all my Midi/DT/iPad routing using Audiobus as you can route individual channels of all midi gear/apps to individual midi gear/apps - works like a charm.
