Introducing Digitone II

That’s a great looking box. The old one was cute. This is sexy.

Will be picking mine up this morning. Didn’t even get an email saying it had shipped yesterday so I had given up hope, only to get a message telling me it’s available for pickup now!

If I ever run a hardware company, all you’ll see on the bottom is a sticker saying Made in: Mind your own fucking business.

Problem solved.

I’m looking soooooo much forward to try the FM Drum! Together with the compressor this is going to kick serious ass! Like getting a new edition of the Machinedrum :fire:

I reckon if Elektron made a kazoo, all it’d take is one Mr.Dataline video to sell thousands.

Not even the same situation but as someone in the US who has ordered from Thomann, I did indeed get a bill for import duties from UPS about a month later. If I recall it was about $60 (on a $900 product). Like a dummy, I wasn’t expecting it, as I’ve ordered things from overseas plenty of times and I guess the merchants typically shipped duty-paid. Anyway, it wasn’t a huge amount on top of the buy, so it didn’t put me out. Since then, I make the assumption that unless specified, something shipping from EU is going to cost more than the listed price.

Decided to get one… Said, I’ll stop at Ableton Move, but nooo…

I do like how it sounds and I can see it will partner well with my DT2 too. Basically this is my grownup version of Models: Cycles and Samples. One week from today…

Sure, lfo designers modulating notes, arp speed, velocity, transpose, length, plocks, more modes with random…

Steps in that direction would be welcome.

Anyone any idea on when the DT 2 will hit the suppliers in EU? Thomann and in my own country are still on Digitone at Full Price

DN2 was available @ thomann yesterday. sold out now, says available again in around 1 week.

Any update? I’m in a similar boat to you, although I did notice at the checkout on the elektron website that it said something like “basket updated to your region” with no additional delivery costs applied.

Thinking about it, when I ordered the KO II direct I didn’t pay any added fees.

No…. they didn’t get back to my ticket yet. Still shown as ‘processing’.

Ordered from Thomann on launch since the Elektron website was not letting me login in properly. (Saved a bit by that also). Shipped yesterday - probably be here in Madrid Monday or Tuesday.

FWIW ive also placed an order to the UK and it’s now showing as ‘Completed’, tho no further info regarding dispatch/tracking etc, and there’s no mention of any additional costs so far (and I haven’t been contacted by FedEx yet). Given that @sloki has been notified by FedEx of a hefty additional charge of £192, I would have thought that other UK buyers before now would have commented on such massive extra shipping/duty costs if they had arisen, but searching over the forum and I dont see any mention of such things (other than a few discussions circa 2021 when a lot of the retailers were adjusting to the new post-br*xit system, but specifically buying direct from elektron is not discussed).

Needless to say ive opened a ticket attempting to cancel my order if the huge extra charges are legit, tho probably a bit too late so worse case scenario will have to go through some massive customs rigmarole just to return the sodding thing
