I hope they fix this fast. I’d quite like to be able to sample external gear with my new sampler! Seems to be lower on the left than the right input too . Both unusable though as you cant hear what your playing in if you have a pattern playing
Does the audio get normalized once it’s sampled?
It says it does, but the waveform still looks low. Certainly not getting out what you put in if that makes sense.
Makes sense - ugh. I was actually going to start the process of filling up my DT2 with sampled samples…
Yea - hope that gets fixed ASAP
Is this DT2 full of bugs?
It is not finished but mine didn’t freeze yet !
And I uploaded files successfully !
It was VERY fast…I’ve been reasonable…
All one needs is an amen break :))
Please make it stop!!!
You won’t recognize it.
I’ve seen that if you record directly into Digitakt, when trimming the recorded sample, you can zoom with Func + F. But I haven’t seen that you can zoom when you transfer the sample from the computer. Isn’t that possible?
My DT2 arrived today. Display, encoder, buttons, enclosure … everything seems to be okay. Hardware things like this are always my biggest concern when purchasing a new device.
My favorite feature so far: Start sampling with the play button. That, and finally no longer having to keep an eye on the memory, is exactly what I was hoping for. I think this will significantly change the way I work with the DT and further reduce the number of external gear I use.
Although there are some bugs that are already known, I am really enthusiastic about the DT2 and surprisingly close to peel off the display protection
wûT? how can this slip quality control before release?
Anyone use the MIDI tracks much so far? I’ve noticed that when I reload a preset that I’ve saved, all my CC values reset to their last saved state as normal, but this is not reflected in the parameters I’m actually controlling with them in Ableton Live. Not sure if that’s because of something on the Live end or the DT2 end but it seems to kind of defeat the purpose of being able to reset MIDI track presets.
Edit: Additionally, some CC controls seem to not work at all, even though they’ve been activated and assigned. Live isn’t even receiving MIDI from them, but is receiving MIDI fine from the CC controls right next to the one that isn’t working. Anyone experiencing this?

The MIDI implementation on DT2 is not yet a flawless experience.

So the most exciting feature for me is buggy as hell! Elektron need to thoroughly retest midi track functionality and bugs in that area, I ran into multiple bugs listed below. It usually starts off working fine and then it goes sour. Tried saving midi track preset that I made on track 9 and Digitakt froze, had to reset Midi buggy in general, can work one minute, then switch pattern stops working when returning, no midi data been picked up in Ableton. When loading a midi preset that was previou…
If you have some reproducable issues I suggest to file a bug report via the elektron website.

OT + DTII would be the ultimate combo
OTIII + DTII would be the ultimate combo
The timestretch algorithm seems to be pretty good. But is it good enough to use it like a VP-9000 or Melodyne; to change the pitch of a loop at any step or to change specific notes of a melodic loop while staying in sync ?

Running into a curious issue with my DT2, I have a Live set with certain buttons mapped to MIDI notes that I triggered in Chromatic mode on my DT1. Now that I’ve set up my project with my DT2, when I try to trigger those same notes with the trig keys in Keyboard mode, it only sends note on messages, but no note off messages, which means the button I’ve mapped each note to has to be pressed twice.
Anyone know why Chromatic mode on DT1 wouldn’t have this issue but Keyboard mode on the DT2 only seems to send note on messages with each press?
Sounds like a bug. Should report it.
Yes.
