Introducing Analog Four & Analog Rytm MKII

Thanks for the quick reply, that sets my mind at rest. I can’t afford to upgrade until my daughter finishes childcare at least, no spare cash until then.

Elektron could really do with something explaining a lot of what is going on here rather than just banging these products out (OB premium?) especially to all the loyal MK1 users (any updates/advantages coming our way from all this new stuff)

Although I guess that may stop the next 500 posts of speculation!

[PANTING INTENSIFIES]

Amazing style (love the teal “function” button), great UI upgrade (they put the function button in the right place for the AR), worthy sound-engine upgrades, CV INPUTS (!)…
If you were waiting to get into Elektron gear, wait a couple months and get one of these puppies!

Great work, Elektron. Holy sh*t!

I wouldn’t be surprised if there is no AK Mk2.

I believe that the Mk1 isn’t their best seller.

IMHO they made the MK2s look like sh1t to appease MK1 owners=D

Seriously though, are synth engine updates etc to AR MK2 going to be available to MK1 also? What level of support will AR MK1 get now? There were lots of hinted upgrades on release, got some with last OS but can’t help think the newer units will be priority.

Still, Elektron doing good business, esp. on OB pro, clever with 2nd hand market strong in this area.

MKI users will still benefit from future software bug fixes etc.

oh yeah, finally function button in right place, i’m missing it all the time ) and fx button is on the right!

If any peeps in the UK want to offload their Digitakt after this announcement give me a shout! I’ve just been let down on my preorder (damaged unit).

until there is more info… I’d assume that the one pair still has no ADC…? which still means no routing to digital effects, or sound-card functionality on that pair…? And the other pair can probably be more liberally mixed/routed etc…? But can that pair go to the comp tho…?

It isn’t but it’s a beast if you give it time and love

I like how the Elektrons fit together and look great if you put them next to each other. Even the silver machines have the same size and “design language” as the black ones. I will wait for actual fotos and not judge from the renderings but my first impression of the mk2s is very bad. They also fit exactly in my case that I have for gigs and now they make BIGGER machines? I don´t get it! I really hope that the sampling option will be an update for the “old” Rytm.

I hope I’m not the only one who’s massively disappointed by those machine.
I can understand the Octatrack which was old and it need some refinements, which seems to still not having upgrades on the “overbridge section” or in it’s DSP. But the AR and the A4?
1- I’ve rarely seen uglier devices, I mean the Mk I where amazingly good looking devices those new one really look awful (and why do the need to make them tilted?)
2- Overbridge Premium? Really Elektron? I mean we are talking about 1500€ devices why put a price tag of 100€ for a software that can be used only with those machines?
3- Extremely appreciated the sampling capabilities of the AR Mk II and cv/modulation inputs are good too but not a “must have”.
4-Overbridge Premium? C’mon…

Now lets wait for the Behringer drum machine, you never know…

Would love to hear the improved engine of the analog four mk2…

“The analog circuitry of Analog Four MKII has been thoroughly reworked and provides deep, clear and defined bass plus a more prominent analog overdrive/distortion effect.”

so, there is some dna of the analog heat in it?

Support did tell me that there are updates on the way, but couldn’t tell me when.

Will the new MK2 machines have the improved more visual interface like the DT (like visual envelope, filter setting, etc.)? Would improve the handling a ton.

Hum…
Developing sound-packs for the A4 will be trickier, due to differing circuitry.

I’m sure the sounds will be compatible, but certainly won’t sound the same.

They’ve been telling me that since the new year. :stuck_out_tongue:

Monomachine mk iii please
