Hey 'y’all, just want to introduce myself before asking a question. Names Scott and I’ve been making analog noises for a few years now. My kit includes an original MS20 (1978), all the volcas, er1, korg m1, esi 4000, mackie 1604 vlz, peavey deltafx twin, cables… and most recently the epic A4. Music i love to listen to: Kraftwerk, Drexciya, Aphex Twin, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, Eno, Vytear, Seefeel, Squarepusher, BoC, Actress, early Simple Minds, Talking Heads, Stereolab etc…
I have slowly been wrapping my head and ears around the A4 and have actually had some success in pattern and sound creation, saving patterns and sounds, and finding my way around the general architecture of the machine.
Question time: Last night while recording a realtime sequence on a track using the mini-keyboard, I noticed the notes/pitches did NOT correspond to the sequenced notes/pitches after they were recorded. they seemed to be off a few semi-tones or more. I loaded and reloaded different sounds to see if that was the issue…no luck. I cleared the track…no luck. Searched this forum…no luck. It could be I’m just a bit new gear blind, and used to Korgs architecture/workflow. Any insights would be greatly apreciated.
thanks!
