New module from Intellijel - Multigrain:
Release videos now live on YouTube:
Intellijel is killing it rn. It has an Octastyle scene fader!
Yup! Just got to that part of the demo. A lot of creative features packed in there. I wonder if it’s using the same DSP platform as Sealegs? ![]()
Is this an Octatrack Mk III in disguise?
I asked in the chat. It does use the same dsp.
I would say that its probably taken inspiration from GR-1
Damnit, I thought Intellijel was finally going to start making healthy breads.
I guess this is ok too.
The morph fader specifically is much closer to the Octatrack, i believe the GR-1 uses it’s slider for position.
I’ve never had the chance to use a GR-1, but i believe it’s quite a different beast, also like the octatrack, very different format (big desktop, etc)
The main difference between Mg and the OT is that Mg morphs between 2 completely separate Scenes (all 11 grain params), while the octatrack has overrides that you make on specific params (more like modulation) on top of a base set of parameters.
Mg also morphs the modulation assignment amounts for even more craziness.
I’m really excited to see what people do with it!
Looks and sounds pretty cool. Both very short and very long grains and even filter modifiers per grain, that’s unusual. I skimmed through the manual and did not find what’s the actual number of grains is possible. Rate parameter has a very wide range, so, from 1 to hundreds?
@slowwild kudos to the team! And, a big kudos to Matt for the videos. He does such a good job with the demos (no offense to Danjel’s vids).
If you activate both scenes on the OT, it morphs between the values set in either scenes. Isn’t that the similar to the MG?
That sounds wild!
nice octratrack vibes
And just when I get 100 percent out of Eurorack they pull me back in.
20hp ugh my Morphagene is reeling.
Wait for the Waldorf Sourdough… Should be tasty.
32 stereo grains (source: ModWiggler).
This looks great. Might push me into a small pod case to be honest.
I own an ADDAC 112 and this is still tempting (but only in a look-don’t-touch way). Some nice ideas here. Though three assignable mod inputs make it very hard to tell from videos what is actually being modulated…!
midi expander that would let us trigger 8 channels independently would be amazing
funny that the octatrack just so happened to have 8 midi channels ![]()
