Individual track levels in overbridge

The individual track levels in overbridge are significantly lower than if I were monitoring that track through the master output.

I understand the track goes through a few gainstages before it hits the master out.

Is this difference in level simply related to those extra gainstages? Or am I miss understanding something about how individual track outs in overbridge work.
