Sounds like you’re attempting to preserve a balanced signal by using an xlr. Bear in mind the trs plug is meant to carry a stereo signal rather than balanced audio. You’ll miss out on either the left or right audio if you use a mono cable or a trs cable to a mono input.[/quote]

firstly TRS doesn’t exclusively imply stereo - it’s just 3 connections

to answer the first OP question - it will definitely be fine, especially if the cables aren’t long

next, the elektrons aren’t full-fat balanced, they’re balanced ‘compatible’, so the difference between scenario 1 & 2 is less defined - in either case most gear will be more than capable of adapting to the insertion of a TS cable if it can take a balanced TRS

it also strikes me there’s a lot of dubious info earlier in this thread regarding teh individual outs - afaik, the individual outs are very much mono, as per OB
