Independent Outs to trig inputs

I am sure it has been discussed. Any tips or tricks with triggering an internal sound with another track routed to an individual out?

I have a bare bones mk2. I am starting to experiment to get retrig for sounds that do not have that parameter. Paired with an LFO I am hoping to get:
microtiming action with a faster trig LFO
Poly rhythms with a longer free run LFO

yes this is great.

with a UW you can use something like a clicktrack sample (e.g. 1 bar of 8th note clicks),
and use this to trigger something… of course you can mangle the clicktrack sample’s pitch with LFOs & p-locks…

on the non-UW, the E12 machines with retrigger might be good.
