Independant patterns and kits

Hi there,

I can easily change patterns but when I do it also changes the 12 sounds, but I actually want to keep the same kit, and just change the pattern

Is there an easy way to do this?

Any help greatly appreciated!

A kit is assigned to a pattern. So if you want the same kit on a different pattern, you need to select that kit.

Are you talking about changing preset patterns or patterns you’ve already created, or changing from a pattern to a new/empty pattern? The kit should stay as long as the pattern doesn’t already have a different kit assigned to it.

well, I have a 4 bar pattern going that I’ve programmed, along with kit/drum sounds I’ve made, and I want to simply want to be able to hit a trigger and switch to a new sequence but keep the same drum sounds. I don’t want to hit new pattern and then select a kit that I’ve saved

When you change pattern to an emply one - the kit won’t be reloaded. Just remember to save the kit when you’re happy with the new pattern

ah ok

at the moment I’ve just been working within the patterns and kits that came installed, and just clearing existing patterns and also modifying and editing machines/sounds within those patterns. At the moment, when I hit a new trigger and change to a new pattern, everything changes, but when I move back to the previous pattern I was working on the kit and sequence have remained as I left them, I didn’t need to save anything.
