Pressing Funct + Clear will delete the patterns in the chain but what about deleting the chain itself, I’ve tried everything and nothing works, the only thing possible is just deleting the patterns in the chain but not the chain itself. Any way to delete the entire chain itself in song mode?

what I mean is it’s impossible to delete the entire row, say you accidently added a row at the end and want the song to end before the added row, you’re stuck with that row as deleting the chain only deletes the patterns and not the row itself, is there something I am missing?

This doesn’t work, all it does is delete the patterns leaving one pattern still in the chain that will play in song mode if not stopped.
Clear a CHAIN 1. Enter Song mode as shown in the ‘edit chain’ section. 2. Select the cycle setting number (i.e. 1x), number is highlighted with a box when selected 3. Press [FUNCTION] + [PLAY] i.e. Clear : Undo function by repeating
Anyone know the answer to this, it’s very frustrating.

forget it I found the answer lol, I have to delete that single patter that is left over by Func + no
Wish it would just be one step, it should just be clear chain clears the entire chain and doesn’t leave 1 pattern in the row.

Spoke too soon, I had 3 rows extra I needed to delete at the end of the song, the func + no worked for 2 of the rows, deleting them entirely as I deleted the remaining pattern that stayed after trying to delete the chain but then the 3rd and last row/chain for some reason doesn’t want to delete entirely, wtf?

I guess it’s semantics, I want to delete the entire pad row, how is this done? Anyone know?
You can’t delete the scratch pad row, which is indicated by ___.
From my memory, you move the cursor to the end of the last row, then Func+No until all the patterns have gone.
But you will always be left with the scratch pad row.

I’m not by the AR to confirm this, but if you start a new chain (FUN+chain) you will have a new scratch pad. The old chains will be saved in the SONG mode in which you can delete the saved chains (i forget how) one by one.

If you would like te remove a row which is somewhere in the middle, you would have to make sure it is NOT the currently playing pattern. So it should not be all black. Go to another row and click yes, so another row is black. Navigate to the row (with that last pattern) but do not hit yes. You now have a square surrounding the pattern number. function +no will now work
