Imported Samples Looping on their own

Hello, I’m just getting started with my Octatrack, please forgive me if this is a well worn question/ issue.

I was following one of your You tube tutorials and I’ve started a new set and project and have imported a series of samples I created in Ableton Live to my audio pool. I’ve moved the samples to the Flex machine and assigned a few to the empty slots.

When I try to listen to my sample by hitting the “9” trig, it plays, but instead of playing a one shot and then stopping, it keeps looping until I hit the stop button on the transport. It’s not looping in at the machine’s current tempo, either. This is really the first time I’m using the machine. I got it brand new yesterday and today, fresh out of the box, I started in on the tutorials, so I can’t imagine anything’s wrong with the actual Octatrack.

Just checking to see if anyone else has experienced this and found a solution.

Maybe “one shot” wasn’t the way to phrase it. Instead of playing once, it just keeps looping.

Dubble tap on “playback” and set loop to off.

While the OT manual maybe isn’t the most enjoyable lecture, (mostly) everything really is there. Give it a read, and go through whatever you’re reading about on the machine for hands-on experience. You won’t regret it.
