If you lost all of your VSTs what would you rebuy?

I’ve got stacks of VSTs on my machine, but I tend to only use a handful of things and the clutter starts to annoy me.
I was thinking if I started from scratch what would I rebuy vs what would I not bother with.

Must haves
Fab Filter
I use Q, R, C and L on everything and get plenty of use out of Volcano and Saturn. I hardly use Timeless

Dune 3
The best sounding soft synth I’ve ever heard, easy to use and very light on CPU

Sublab XL
A one trick pony, but I use it all the time to beef up low end.

Sound Toys
Super inspiring I use Decapitator, Echo Boy, Panman, Devil Loc and Radiator on nearly everything, and Tremulator and Crystalliser quite often. The new Super Plate is also very good

Serato
Could do with more features, but pitch and time sounds brilliant.

Nice to have
Baby Audio
Crystalline and Super VHS are must haves and I use TAIP all the time, I sometimes use BA-1, Spaced out and Smooth operator but I pretty much never use IHNY, Parallel Aggressor, or Comeback Kid

Shaperbox 3
I use this a lot and like it although I could probably use the new MSEG features in Bitwig to do the same thing.

Arturia FX 3
I don’t use it as much as I thought I would although the Juno Chorus, Flanger, Dimension D, and Fragments are all excellent. I don’t like the Skuomorphic design.

Microtonic
Love it, but don’t use it as much as maybe I should

Probably Wouldn’t

Dreamsynth
Doesn’t do anything Dune 3 doesn’t do better and with low CPU

Pigments
Nice looking UI, but too CPU hungry and doesn’t ever sound as good as other options

Playbeat
Never really ended up using it

Drawmer S73
I like it, but rarely use it

Arturia V Collection
Loads of random synths I don’t have time to learn, a lot of them seem very CPU heavy so I don’t end up using them. Having all the electric piano and organ options is useful though.

Atlas
Again a nice tool, but I don’t find myself using it.

Trash 2. Immediately.

Soundtoys and Synplant. Though if I lost all of them I don’t think I’d bother getting any again. DAWs suck the life out of my creativity.

FabFilter C, L, Q, Saturn, Volcano, sometimes MB but I’m not really confident that what I’m doing with it is good, I would love to practice more on multiband compression. also would love to learn how to use the G and DS, so far can’t really find a proper use for them. I love R and Timeless but hardly use them as I use delay and reverb from my elektrons.

Voxengo tube, great little plugin when you don’t want too many options.

TDR SlickEQ just at the end, such a nifty eq with auto gain, just easy to use and sounds great.

otherwise stock ableton plugins are just fine and you don’t have to rebuy them

Too much plugins annoy me too, I need to do another spring cleaning  Most of the time I use one of these, which I would rebuy/reinstall:

Instruments: Diva, Vital, TAL Bassline 101, Korg M1, Kontakt (with few ethnic/vocal libraries), Kick 2

Effects: Pro-Q, Pro-L, Pro-DS, Replika XT, Slick EQ, ReelBus, Comet, Supermassive, occularScope

Maybe also Saturn, but might try something else first.

Synths: ABL3. Otherwise my hardware plus stock ableton instruments is plenty.

Effects: Valhalla supermassive, vintage verb, delay. I use them in every song. Dblue Glitch is basically indispensable for me as well. Akaizer, because I can’t make myself spend the money for a classic Akai just to get that Timestretch sound.

Only ones I would rebuy in a heartbeat:

Valhalla SuperMassive (okay, it’s free)
Process.Audio Sugar (it’s my secret weapon)

Aalto (all Madrona), Primal Tap, Vintage Verb and a few others i am sure i’d miss

Valhalla supermassive

Arturia Filter MS-20

NE Ruina whatever it is

Because these are all the VSTs I own (and none of them cost me a penny, ha!).

Falcon
Madrona Aalto & Kaivo

Have too many vsts, but these 5 are the ones I actually use.

I’d say reaktor too, but that’s sort of anything you want it to be…

Falcon would be first. I love it.
I’d grab Komplete Standard on the next sale which comes with Izotope standard for mix/master.

I love pigments, and V collection.
And Shaperbox 3.
I’d be sad about the loss of my Output collection, but I’d be fine for a while.

Hmm, great question! I could go a long way with just Bitwig now, honestly. but maybe:
Instruments: Pigments
FX: Shaperbox, Valhalla Vintage Verb and Delay, Soundtoys, XLN RC-20, Gulfoss, Black Box HG-2, Shadow Hills Class A Mastering Compressor
Of those, the only ones that I really wouldn’t want to ditch are Gulfoss, Black Box HG-2, and Shadow Hills Class A Mastering Compressor, as they are all magical sound gooderizers that I can’t do without

Melodyne anyone?

there’s something about the Falcon sound that is incredibly good. Maybe it’s EQ or something, but always blows me away

The only vst i use is opsix native.
I guess i’m not pro enough to care about vsts.

Live soundtoys, and Softube empirical labs, latest 3 compressor and m.a.s, the sonsig reverb. Ah, and sp2016 reverb.

That’s a lot

I’m getting there

Isotope Production VSTs
Arturia V Collection & FX
NI Komplete- if I had to be specific with this, and if NI offered it, then just the sample libraries and Kontakt
And Embertone’s Chapman Trumpet
