This!! I sooo wanted the drumlogue to be a Volca Drum +analogue voices / 'logue custom engine stuff in a proper enclosure with well thought out controls… Not tried it but don’t think I will.

The Modor DR-2 and Jomox Alpha Base are the two favorites in my studio. The Elektron Analog Rytm MKII is another strong option.

I never owned one personally, but the DSI Tempest is also a solid drum machine. I hope Sequential releases an updated version.

Acidlab Drumatix & Analog Rytm

Never owned the former but I love the 606 sound and Acidlab just take it that step further. Still hoping to pick one up someday. Rytm covers everything else for me and has, by far, my favorite drum sequencer.

my Rytm MK2 and small eurorack case of modular drums with sequencer. Love WMD drum modules and Jomox bass drum module with Mutant Hot Glue mixer/compressor and Queen of Pentacles. But if just one box then definitely my Virus TI2 that can do everything! Well it benefits from a sequencer but the complex arpeggiator is decent.

I currently have a Syntakt and Digitakt. I use the Sybtakt more for full tracks out of the studio though. The Digitakt is drums and brains for the studio.

I wouldn’t mind grabbing the Modor sometime, but will probably stick to this setup.

I really love the RD-8 MkII, but gave mine to my son as he needed it more than I do. Besides, I love recreating TR drums on other devices for fun anyway

My modulars are also geared heavily toward percussive sounds, so I can always use them when I have them assembled
