There’s a lot of preaching to the choir going on here… the Octatrack is a long way from being anywhere near as influential as the MPC, and it’s nowhere near being the new MPC, IMO.
It’s great as a performance mixer. It’s great as an 8 track 64-step sequencer. It’s great as a looper.
It’s not great as a music production centre though.
OT is the new OT. (And I hope they bring out an OT mk2 too).
oh yeah… guess it would have to be a mk3 then… I could never get on with the display when going to it from the ARmk2, A4mk2 and Digitone.
