Ask me anything.
What did you do with your day off?
Orrrrrr, what would be really helpful is if anyone wants to/could share nightmare work stories where they walked out due to nightmare conditions and lack of respect. Tone: sincere.
How did it work out for you afterwards?
What were all asking is:
How are you gonna pay for synths now?
It’s just starting, and I have some modules coming in.
I have no clue: I’m screwed.
Congratulations !
I’m proud of you. Sometimes there is only one response.
You did what you needed to.
Now do what you need to keep things together for you.
Not all heroes wear capes.
Just turn up tomorrow like nothing has happened, see if they say anything
Happy for anyone who has the guts to leave a place. It’s always one of the best moves and the only regret is usually not having done so sooner.
Any company that doesn’t treat its staff well doesn’t deserve them.
Before you did it did you blast “Damn it feels good to be a gangsta” at your desk while playing games on your work computer?
One job I used to have we had these team meetings every week, and almost everyone I worked with hated me, and I them. At the end of the team meeting they went round and everyone had to nominate someone who’d done something good this week or whatever.
When it came round to me, I nominated my only friend in the place, saying “this week, I’m nominating Nikki, because she’s the only one of yous that’s not a cunt”.
Picked up my shit, left and never looked back.
Got home to discover that my wife was pregnant…
Everything turned out fine.
It’s only after I left that job that I realized how much damage it had done to me.
What did you have for breakfast?
The manager who introduced that should have been made permanently wear a clown outfit; stitched into their skin with the shoes and nose superglued on, and tatooed facepaint
At least you left the shitter a smoldering pile of rubble on the way out.
Thank you so much this is wonderful to read and I appreciate it
🏻‍♂
Lol.
Would love to play bongo on their heads ala Homer Simpson when he quits the power plant in that clip.
Thank you! The clients here are so acute in their mental health needs and staff is passionate about it, but there’s only so much that can be done with horrible and unsupportive management. I know most staff felt that way. I can confidently say that the clients appreciated me and were not shy about saying so. They’re all that matters and I’m proud of everything I did there and would do it exactly the same again.
And not gonna lie, it felt fantastic to tell the CEO and HR to go f themselves.
