Hi people. Want to share my new video & track with you.
This is the first time I edited a video. I‘m a total newb in this field, I just played around with some free clips in the magic music visuals software. But then I pretty much liked the outcome.
The track was started in the octatrck and finished in ableton. It features Chromaphone 5, u-he diva and bazille, Tina guo cello from kontakt, as well as samples from a Rawcutz sample pack.
My debut solo album follows next friday.
Hope some people will enjoy it cheers
Update: Second Track added to Bandcamp
As most here will know, FUNC + NO is a button combo on the digitakt, on which I started the track.
I hit these buttons by accident while working enthusiastically on the song… which reloads the machine to the last saved state. Which was the empty pattern in my case.
So I had to recreate the thing I was working on for the last 3 hours.
As it turned out, I liked the recreation even better.
Hope you like it too
I didn’t end up buying Magic as I didn’t really give the trial enough of a go and then ran out of time, but looks like you’re getting some good results out of it
Thanks!
I really like this program. I never compared it to other visual programs though, it’s my first.
But it feels like playing around with a software modular synth, which I rather like in general
Wow! That was a great pleasure to watch.
From a simple trick, you have created some truly arresting moving images, that would stand on there own as stills.
The waves breaking was my personal favourite!
A perfect accompaniment to the music (which I also enjoyed).
Thank you. I know lamb, but I’m not really familiar with their discography.
Thanks so much! That’s really encouraging. Honestly, I enjoy the video myself, but I was afraid that it be too simplistic or too obvious that a total beginner did this. I have no experience at all.
But it was a lot of fun to do. As if I found a new hobby. It would be cool if I’d film all the material myself next time.
I also want to learn more about editing and cutting. My friend suggested da Vinci resolve, which is a free software. But it seems very versatile .
But for my first video, Imovie did the job very well
The video was a nice addition to a beautiful sounding track. Those clips have awesome resolution and quality to them as well. Nice work with the editing on the video.
And I’m new here so I’ve never heard your stuff before but I’m looking forward to taking a listen to the release next Friday.
