Good morning! ![]()
Hmmnah, gabber’s not my type of music. I DID visit Energiehal (‘energy-hall’) and Parkzicht (near Rotterdam central park, with the foamparties) (sort of the birthplaces of gabber) to get a taste myself, but it wasn’t my thing. I did notice though that although it looked very aggressive, it really wasn’t. Yes, lots of people drugged to the roof on XTC, but never had a bad encounter or anything. Had one guy come up to ask me if I wanted a few pills, I said my beer was enough for me, and he politely didn’t bother me for the rest of the night. Took some time to recover from the tinnitus though ![]()
I think you’re looking for the “I DON’T miss the 90ties and Gabber” thread. ![]()
Hahaha…well, I DO miss the '90s, some of the best moments of my life…but gabber…well, not so much ![]()
I did also notice I already commented her some time ago. Must be getting old ![]()

This popped up in the feed.
the best i heard was in 97-98 in SF at liquid. a dj from Berlin whose name i forgot played a set. hybrid of hard techno, hip hop and dancehall gabber. searched for a long time but no luck…hope he doing well…he had style, great set.
I remember going to a ‘hakke en zage for kids’ party in 96-97ish for 5 gulden. With 3 steps ahead and I think Buzz Fuzz. Every kid in aussie and cavello tracksuits getting their hair chopped off at the gabberbarber (without the parents approval) drinking Thunderdome energydrinks while having hakkuh contests ![]()
Merry Christmas slags.
Everyone who missed seeing and raving to a proper Hardcore set from Mark N missed something in their lifes.
Moar hellfish banging.
Very apt title.
