Digitakt II is a gabber machine
(Filter and amp stage switched compared to DT1 - great distortion)
Video jumps directly to hardcore part (at 33m10s)

TOP hardcore track, even now, sampler drills and breaking kick so close to breakcore - fantastic.
it was on a first cassete from Thunderdome series in my casette player (Vol 5). But word God was changed to Core in track name…
Multigroove coming up next Saturday, so I have been revisiting different decades
Some of my favorite early/oldstyle tracks with a lower BPM:
Faster classics from the 90’s:
Some great “newer” stuff:
And this amazing old style set from one of the greatest hardcore DJs:
Is this just the DT2 without external FX? That is ffing filthy! Love it.
I love crazy Hoovers …
I really do love crazy Hoovers
Another take on retro-sound and trackers in techno & hardcore. Some cool mixes there.
Actually I was looking for any articles describing how the tracker material was transferred to vinyl (this was definitely the case with many early hardcore records).
And this is brilliant, I never thought I could see an interview with that guy or any other speedcore producer from the 90’s (and this was the first speedcore I ever heard - it was mind-blowing, I could never imagine such music could exist). Very interesting and nice conversation, but unfortunately no word about the music production itself (curious if it was 100% computers or some sampler involved, the sound was too clean for a tracker imo).
crosspost from Jamuary 25 thread:
One of my dreams is to release a track on cenobite records one day. This jam(uary) is inspired by Michel Klaassens music. Might use this as a foundation for a track.
I just discovered mini-genre of Freetekno and your track is not that far from its vibes (a bit muted drums and a focus on atmospheric sounds)

Oh! I never heard of that term, will check it out.
Thanks!
Maximum nostalgia: this is my favorite hardcore track
Bakalla - True Force (280BPM)
I turned it on at midnight every January 31st to listen to the best hardcore all next year. I wish the same for you)
PS now it seems minimalistic and not rich in sounds, but how great the arrangement is, pauses are used and crazy dynamics are created
Looking for gabber mixes done by reputable DJs of the 90’s. I know very little about gabber as I was introduced to the scene in 2002. YouTube wasn’t helpful.
lots of obscure od school stuff on this channel:
