When I mentioned in the Guitar Thread that I was thinking about buying a JC40 amp, @shigginpit commented something to the effect of “it should be illegal for anything to be that loud without breaking up or having a character besides throat punch.” I think about that and chuckle every time I turn it on.
I always kinda expect to log in and see a post from him saying something like “I popped out to get some cigarettes, what did I miss?” Whatever he’s doing, I hope he’s doing well.
They are a very helpful person on here!!
Be the @shigginpit you want to see in the world!
Someone else needs to be remembered from your summary :
aarb420 was last seen June 4th 2024.
This is one of their threads :
Yabba is still around though.
Hasn’t updated his soundcloud either. Hope he’s off enjoying life and making mad beats elsewhere
Yes I want to bring the bi-weekly sample challenge thread back. @aarb420 put a lot of work into those and it’s still the most fun mission brief we’ve had
Maybe the @shigginpit was the friends we made along the way…
Don’t be sorry for the loss, treasure the time you had.
XD
Perhaps a bit serious in this case, but a good sentiment nonetheless.
I think he goes back to early 2000s in the Ableton forums
Just curious, how was he the first to welcome you to the forum if you joined almost two years before him? (We must have done a lousy job before that
)
oh yeah well i wasn’t really active then i think i joined specifically to get help with a machinedrum and only used the messaging thing once to get help and then didn’t really look at it for while - but i guess apart from waftlord who helped with the maxchinedrum - total legend - shigginpit was the one who made me feel socially welcome
I see
Unnecessary question from my part considering the vibe of the thread, sorry.
Don’t have any connection, but this is a pretty heartwarming thread, hope he runs across this
Just give us the funny pictures already!
Yeah but does that mean Bad Gear also has to take an involuntary break?
Florian took a two week hiatus about two months ago
Well deserved. I’m sure making content taxes your sanity
But @shigginpit has been making the content for Florian!
I also miss him. I even have a couple of memes I made for him and never got to post, but if he needs time off…all the best @shigginpit
