I like that I can sidechain the compressor to the kick. But I don’t see why I’d ever use that unless I was using overbridge and had the kick separated out.
I’d love the ability to chose which tracks actually go to the compressor :I
Am I missing something?
Why would I want to sidechain the compressor to a channel when that channel is also being compressed by the same compressor?
I’m sure there’s SOME use for this, but not the classic basic sidechain pump that I most would want.
I know I’m being a moany bastard lol.
I love these boxes, but as a developer myself there’s some things I just wish I could jump in and fix myself haha

You’re not alone, would be nice to have sidechain, the response I heard before from an exelektron employee was it isn’t really supposed to be a side chain compressor, and the tools available are more or less what is possible with the resources available for the compressor. The kind of funny thing is if there wasn’t a source option I think people would be less likely to get hung up on it not being a side chain compressor.

Yea I don’t get when it’s all digital why can’t I just not have it go thru that haha!
Oh well
check out ezbot video about side chaining using the lfo https://youtu.be/kua2bnmevLI?si=mVoQoRosWxOpGrQS
it’s a workaround and you end up losing an lfo but you manage to achieve more or less the same result
