I broke my DT with a MIDI command...help [resolved]

Hi there,

I have a Deepmind12 attached to the MIDI Input of the DT. In a new project I forgot to disable the CC/NRPN Input.

On the DM12 I changed the Key-Transpose-Parameter in the menu. This obviously sent out a NRPN, I am not sure which one, it isn’t mentioned in the manual. But now whenever I press a key on the keyboard, the DT sends out some other note (not the one played) and it hangs, plays for eternity until I press the stop button on the DT.

This “setting” appears to be global, it is on every MIDI Channel. Loading another project doesn’t help, switching the DT on and off doesn’t help.

Anybody has an idea what I can do?

Have you already tried disconnecting the DT’s MIDI in, to see if that makes a difference?

If you hold the DT in the air over your head (with midi ports facing down) you could shake it until the bad midi commands fall out.

All jokes aside, you might open a support ticket with Elektron while you wait for potential solutions here.
