Hydrasynth from ASM - Tips, Tricks and Queries

Getting cozy with a hydra.

Any shortcuts for key note, velocity and aftertouch mod sources? I’ve been spoiled by the DSI Sequential method of the keyboard tapping through those options when you hold source.

E: I’m a dummy. Holding shift works well for this by scrolling through what seem to be categories of mods… envelopes… lfos… aftertouch, key stuff, velo etc.

I knew shift does a lot of things but I assumed it would just rapid scroll. This is much nicer. Still, I wouldn’t turn down the DSI style of adding these mods.

If you haven’t gotten the “The Sun God RA” patch pack yet, it’s really, really good. https://www.ashunsoundmachines.com/downloads

Anybody tried Hydrasynth as MPE controller?
If possible, how to set it up to send several channels, with independant CHANNEL Aftertouch (not PolyAt) ?

Answering to myself : just set MPE to ON on settings.

Apparently no configuration, I wish I could reduce channels to 8.

Notes and Channel Aftertouch are sent on 16 different channels.
Pitchbend and Modulation are sent on channel 1.

If you’re using the built-in keyboard, I guess that’s as good as it gets.

On some MPE controllers like Linnstrument you can set the number of channels.

Yes, on Linnstrument, you can do that, indeed. If you want the same restriction for the built-in keyboard, you will probably have to go through a MIDI router, software or hardware.

I already did it with RK002 cable, disabling MPE. With Polymux with aftertouch script HS PolyAt is mapped to channel At so it is very efficient to control Tonverk or other multi timbral gear with channel at.

Would be nice to have the choice on HS.
