How work M.LEN set to INF?

hi
In length per pattern, how it works the M.LEN set to INF??
I tested it and I do not find any difference in using it

thanx…

INF means your tracks can continue independently forever, if they’re set to different lengths.

For example, let’s say tracks 1 and 2’s sequences are 15 and 16 steps long, respectively. With M.LEN set to say, 64, the tracks will be reset to step 1 after 64 steps. With M.LEN at INF, they will continue to run, unsynchronised, until the point when they naturally sync up again.

It’s better explained with a diagram, but I’m not at my computer right now so it’ll have to wait if the above doesn’t make sense!

Example:

With track length=12 M.LEN=16 it plays:

Trig 1-12 / Trig 1-4 / Trig 1-12 / Trig 1-4 … and so on (every second time it jumps from Trig 4 right back to Trig 1).

With M.LEN=INF it plays:

Trig 1-12 / Trig 1-12 / Trig 1-12 … and so on (no jumps anymore)
