Yeah I just realized this the a few days ago myself. Seriously, just turn the pitch down until it shakes the paint off the walls and/or gives you a headache. It’s got weapons-grade low end.

There are lots of tutorials on youtube how to make that BD sound. Also, if you use the search function here you’ll find a thread that will be helpful.

Roland should just buy Elektron at this point

I love the 808, but there’s so many other sounds out there, and in the AR….

RD-8s go for nothing, really nice to use that and free up Rytm for FM, samples, filter pings and so on

I guess learning how to make an 808 is good learning. I’m keen to try out all @Schnork’s suggestions.
