How to connect Digitone to iPad Pro?

i tried connecting via USB-C, but no luck. is there anything specific we have to do/but to get these two to recognize each other? most of the threads im finding here are severely outdated and are primarily from when the iPad still had lightning ports. forgive me if the answer is super obvious lol, im new to Elektron equipment/this forum

USB-C to USB-B cable, and then in Settings>System>USB Config, set it to USB Audio/MIDI.
