Hello!
Is there a way to arpeggiate audio slices on OT? I am a newby and can not figure it out on my own. I read the manual, didn’t help.
I think it works, if you connect the MIDI-OUT with the MIDI-IN of the OT.
Thank you, Tubman. I tried that, but that alone is certainly not enough. Even tried with Ableton with an external midi box. I am sending mid from OT to ableton midi track sending it back to Ot through a different midi bus. Probably some settings should be changed. On midi track I set the same channel as the audio track I want to arp. Still no sound.
I I have tried to find a way to play the slices with an external midi controller, but I can’t find a way to do it. I guess it’s the same thing.
Credo, you can do it in Ableton 9 and Max for Live. There is a dedicated patch for that. I can arpeggiate the slices from Ableton as well. But I was looking for a way to do it inside the Octatrack.
No, but you could attempt to do it with the sequencer.
I think this is an old request. I’m not sure where they can put it in the existing pages of menu either. Maybe add as an effects?
you can’t
what you can try is drawing an lfo (lfo designer) to sample slices.
Thank you, Rozzbud. i’ll try it with lfos
LFOs will work well enough for triggering notes, but part of what makes the arp so useful on the Monomachine and the midi sequencer of the OT is the “sequencer within a sequencer” aspect. I use this all the time to help get notes in the right places or to find new variations in a sequence, and really wish it could be done with samples.
