Just dropped the cash on an OT last week after lusting over one for a couple of years. Now I’m wondering how to protect and take care of my new baby. I love the concept of the protective lids Elektron sells, but I’m having a hard time justifying spending that much money on a simple plastic lid.
What do people here use? My OT will not be leaving my home studio for the foreseeable future, so I just want something to keep it clean and dust-free when not in use, not worried about transportation.
If it’s not being moved around wouldn’t a plain old dust sheet do the job? Probably buy a legit one from a pound store somewhere

For transport I have got the Elektron bag including the lid. The lid protects the knobs very efficiently if it’s inside the bag and in the studio from dust. Really useful accessory.
I use this bobblely plastic you often get when you get a shipment of any kind, just put it over the OT or my other studio devices , keys, mixer, drum machines. Works fine for dust protection.
For transport I got a flight case, then I don´t have to worry too much just need to know whats up and down when loading into the car or carry in
U- bahn.
