I’m fairly new to the Digitakt, I love it and am exploring the realm of creative resampling. I watched a few videos (thanks @Eaves!) and am happy with the flows I am developing.
There are two things that I find tedious:
naming samples takes more time than resampling itself. I feel like if I don’t give a descriptive name to my recorded samples they’ll be lost in a see of generic named content, yet, it’s a pain to do, kills the flow.
I sometimes resampler a few times to get where I want to be. This means there are a few samples that are just “temporary”. I would go, when done resampling, find them and delete them immediately from the +drive so they are not lingering there.
I wonder how you deal with these two topics, and in general with not polluting your +drive with samp,es that are nothing to be used or named in ways that you’d not know what they are.
Naming them is a pain, but not naming them leads to more pain. You can also copy and paste sample names, if you’re doing a lot of similar samples at once.
Also, Elk Herd will let you rename them at a computer.

That’s what I figure as well. I heard, but forgot, about copy/pasting names, indeed. Might be useful when I resample multiple times to get variations. I assume the name in the clipboard doesn’t stay if I go and make music and copy/paste other things.
And about Elk Herd yes, that’s how I thought to manage samples easier. That software is nothing short of amazing! I encourage everyone enjoying it to contribute something
